Designing with the Mind in Mind

Based on the presenter's highly-rated recent book, this class explains psychological principles behind UI design guidelines.  It includes powerful demonstrations and exercises to allow audience members to experience the characteristics of human perception and cognition.

This class will help you understand how to apply UI guidelines in real-world situations and how to balance the trade-offs that arise when design guidelines appear to contradict each other.  It is intended mainly for software designers, evaluators, and developers who did not take Cognitive Psychology as part of their university education, or for those who want an update based on current brain/cognitive science.
