As part of their ongoing series on the UXPA 2014 International Conference in London, Futureheads colleagues Giorgia Rossini (Associate Consultant, UX Team) and Liz Inskip (Resourcer, UX Team Support) are interviewing some of the conference speakers. They're asking them about their own careers, the conference itself, and a few questions about the conference theme - motivation.
Julian Hirst: CEO & Jazz Musician
Julian Hirst is the CEO of London agency Tobias & Tobias by day and jazz musician by night. He has worked around the world, and been involved in UX for about 15 years. The first part of our interview focused on Julian, his journey into user experience, and how it relates to his other love – music.
UXPA 2014 Conference: Highlights and Julian’s Session
In next part of our interview, we asked him some questions around the UXPA 2014 conference itself – both what he’ll be teaching us and what he’s planning to check out when not presenting. There are some top tips in here for delegates!
Motivation and Innovation
We like to end our interviews on a really positive note, so we’re ending each one with a series of questions about Motivation. We think it’s not only a great conference theme, but it’s also a key factor in all usability work. Julian shares his thoughts on motivation and motivating people in the next video.
We hope that hearing Julian talk about his passion for music and design has you excited for his session on 23rd July! He’s on stage at 9:00AM on the Wednesday, as part of the Design Psychology track. If you’re looking for a spot of creative inspiration or like a bit of music with your morning mimosa, you should definitely get yourself out of bed early and check out his presentation!
